New Magnetic Wonder by The Apples In Stereo

5...according to our on Fri 23 Mar, 2007.

The Apples In Stereo make just about the best pop music known to man. Fortunately you too can experience this on their new album called New Magnetic Wonder which sounds like a 100% total an utter return to form. It's so summery it's untrue.... I'm not really a fan of happy music (being a miserable twat) but joy The Apples bring to the world is one not to be missed. Absolutely essential and a definite contender for album of the week!

Indie-rock stalwarts The Apples In Stereo mark their first release in five years, as well as their fifth official full length album, with New Magnetic Wonder. The first release on Yep Roc Records’ joint venture with ELIJAH WOOD’s newly formed record label, Simian Records.

New Magnetic Wonder was produced by Bryce Goggin (Pavement, Sebadoh, Sean Lennon) and is surely the most elaborate

Apples production to date. Clocking in at 53 minutes, the limited edition double gatefold LP pressed on 180 gram vinyl will include a 12x24 inch poster,

an exclusive bonus track, 25 songs (including 12 "link tracks") and an Apples first - their newly invented "Non-Pythagorian Music Scale."

New Magnetic Wonder includes such fist pumping anthems as "Can You Feel It," the 70's AM radio-esque "Same Old Drag," and the Mellotron

majesty of "Energy." It's The Apples in stereo doing what they do best - it's a New Magnetic Wonder.

Heavyweight UK promotion (Judy Shaw - JS Publicity)

- The band have experienced massive critical acclaim and believe this to be their best ever record so we expect it to outsell their previous releases by some way.

- The release is on Yep Roc/Simian – Simian is a new label owned by Elijah Wood the actor who is an incredibly knowledgeable music fan!!!
