Words can't sum, up the feeling of disappointment I felt after hearing the recent DJ SHADOW album. It was like he'd been in a car crash and all the elements were still there but the musical doctors re assembled him wrongly. I did like the sleeve though.... Anyhoo his new single called This Time (I'm Gonna Try It My Way) is a slick souly number which you can imagine being used in a Tarantino film. A bit where everything is seemingly normal but really there's something hideous happening like someone face is being cut off. I have to say he's a (DJ) Shadow of his former self....DJ Shadow, widely regarded as one of the most ground-breaking and influential artists in modern music, has his brand new single, “This Time”, Taken from Shadow’s recently released and widely acclaimed new album “The Outsider”and its release coincides with Shadow’s first major UK tour in 4 years. 7" is backed by a 'dub' version CD has a new track as the B side. Ads in Guardian Guide, NME, Timeout. Pete Tong Interview, Colin Murray session and more…
