Blondelle - Started When You Were Young

Started When You Were Young by Blondelle

3...according to our on Thu 07 Dec, 2006.

Judging by the sleeve (yes I am that shallow) I have little hope of BLONDELLE sounding any better. They look like The Horrors only younger. In fact at a guess I'd say they'd just moved up to big school in September. One of them is trying to look hard by smoking... Bless him. They sound a little bit older than they look though. They can clearly play their instruments. All those lessons at school have finally paid off. 'I Wonder' has a very sing-along thing going on. I can imagine a bunch of teens drinking cider and getting down to this. 'Snow Clear Lies' is not a bad effort to be fair. It's reasonably raw very average sounding indie rock. Pink vinyl 7" on 16 Tons.

BLONDELLE ARE A DEATH DEFYING, HIGH FLYING, ELECTRIFYING, NEVER CRYING GANG OF 18 YEAR OLD GUYS WHO PLAY GREAT MUSIC. YOU CAN DANCE TO IT, FIGHT TO IT, MAKE LOVE TO IT, OR WHATEVER YOU WANT, YOU CHOOSE! WITH A PUBLIC LIBRARY OF INFLUENCES RANGING FROM ZIGGY TO IGGY THESE LADS WILL STOP AT NOTHING UNTIL THEY POLLUTE YOUR SOULS, (IN A GOOD WAY!)
