The Mighty Roars - Sellotape

Sellotape by The Mighty Roars

I've just scared the pants of Ant with my hilarious Irish accent pretending Daft Punk were from Ireland. Ho ho... it's a barrel of laughs here. THE MIGHTY ROARS have a new single out One Little Indian which is a fast and furious number making me think it's going to appeal to fans of Yeah Yeah Yeahs etc... Sounds like The Duke Spirit but with attitude.... but that's only cos they ripped off PJ Harvey which is what is going on here. Will also appeal to spotty young boys I think...  Sellotape is on 7" and CD. Competently done but ultimately pointless. Thanks One little Indian... Actually the B side (Jude & Sienna)  is quite good. Just buy the Charlotte Hatherley single. It's brilliant!

NOTION MAGAZINE SAY OF THE BAND: ‘WHILST THE MIGHTY ROARS HAVE BEEN LIKENED TO THE YEAH YEAH YEAH’S, PJ HARVEY AND THE SEX PISTOLS, THE BBC’S REVIEWS OF THE BANDS PERFORMANCES AT THE ISLE OF WIGHT FESTIVAL, WAS DESCRIBED AS “A FANTASTIC SET OF RAPID, LOUD, IN-YOUR-FACE PUNK ROCK WHICH WOKE UP THE SLEEPY CROWD AND GOT THE FESTIVAL GOING WITH A BANG”’ · THIS SINGLE HAS BEEN MIXED BY CHRIS SHELDON WHO HAS WORKED WITH BANDS LIKE MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE, THE FOO FIGHTERS, RAY LAMONTAGNE, AND RADIOHEAD.

I saw them live, and was dissapointed. It turns out they had a session drummer record the album.
