An Island of Shopkeepers" If The Poppycocks were a shop it would sell to tourists. All of those things that, when you've got them home, don't quite sit with the other things on the mantelpiece. But you leave them there anyway, just as a reminder. It's not saying it's rubbish, it's just stuff and nonsense, but without it we'd be lost and nothing. The Poppycocks are a character based uber-pop threepiece who are navigating safe passage through the hazardous waters of popular music and have been thrilling audiences in their hometown of Brighton for the past couple of years. They admire artists such as Orange Juice, The Kinks, Belle and Sebastian and Squeeze. Their songs are a quirky and unique mix of harmonies, ear catching guitars, velvets style driving rhythms and playful and melodic songwriting. They enjoy life on the open seas but love to bring the good ship Poppycocks to the people and promise to supply lots of energy, a dancing drummer and a good time for one and all
