Continuing with the Planet Mu label then. It's nice to see them doing 7"s again and it's nice to have Mike Paradinas' JAKE SLAZENGER alter-ego back again. 'Pewter Dragon' is heavy on the funk with those trademark U-ziq playfull melodies and what I can only describe as a big twisted Jools Holland sounding electronic piano solo. I have a feeling this track's from his archives as I can't imagine him doing this style these days. 'On The Street' also has the 'Das Ist Ein Groovy Beat Jah' pallete of sounds but the percussion sounds like it's been tweaked slightly bringing the sound more inline with his current output.Limited Edition, 500 only. The return (and farewell?) of 90s electro-funk electronica impresario (and indie chart number #1) Jake Slazenger from self imposed exile on St. Helena, where he is completing his autobiography whilst wasting away from consumption.
