Supersoul - Soundclash

Soundclash by Supersoul

4...according to our on Thu 30 Nov, 2006.

Supersoul with a slightly more commercial thing. Cut up hip hop - musically extremely  interesting,  vocals a bit obvious but still very worthy. Somehow it reminds me of a cross between early Scritti Politti and Tricky.

Omar Clemetson a.k.a. Supersoul left Jamaica for Miami where his roots found new soil in the form of Florida's sub-bass scene and the flourishing electronica spearheaded by Push Button Objects, Schematic and friends. Supersouls music reflects, comments on and fights this fucked up world - music as a battle you can dance to. Soundclash features Judah Manson, PBO, Dynas, Skam2 and DJ Infamous, also with an exclusive dub version on the flip where he ravages vocals with pointed echo salvos. Super deep elastic bass punches and super pungent snare strikes and super nervous scratches fight with the super sweet female champion chorus and the super annoyed male complaints. Duck and cover.
