The JUKEBOX BUDDHA compilation CD on Staubgold is a compilation of tunes made by clever electronic types with their buddha machines. I don't know about you but I came to the conclusion the other week that the buddha machines were a nice idea, but in practice they're a cheap tinny piece of tat with dreadful distorted sound. All hype and we all felt for it.... it's like furbies again eh.... Well Robert Henke, SunnO))), Alog, Sun City Girls, Mapstation, Gudrun Gut, Thomas Felhmann, Blixa Bargeld, Adrian Sherwood, Wang Fan (my favourite) clearly don't agree with me as they've all constructed bits of music around the sounds created on their buddha machines. These don't sound even slightly tinny at all, in fact it all sound very polished and there's some well structured 'pieces' of electronic music here to excite those both with and without beards. Am suitably impressed.15 tracks made with the FM3 BUDDHA MACHINE.
