Leeds saviours of hyper-schizo anthemic indie release "slowie" 'Nineteen' Not sadly a cover of Paul Hardcastle's seminal Vietnam awareness classic, this actually sounds a bit like Big Country or The Alarm. With a kinda stadium techno pulse to give it a sheen for the noughties. Really. It's a curious choice for a single. Uniformly colour coded green cover if you give a toss (if you've got 'em all it shouldn't be too taxing to file this away with the others) and the CD has a 65 Days of Static mix of 'Twelfty' on which is just hugely unnecessary & will piss off all the girls you've just pulled with your Shoreditch mullet & ironic eyeliner. 2x7"/CDs

About the humble CD single:

Another digital format and even though they can hold 80 minutes of information (like a CD album would) record companies only fill up a small portion of the disc. Sometimes only 1 or 2 tracks on there totalling 5 minutes or so. It's like going to a restaurant and getting a plate of food with 2 green beans on and wondering where the rest of your meal is. Sometimes they're lovingly packaged though and when the music is good then you're into a winner. Also you get videos on there sometimes which you can watch on your computer. That is excellent.
