Released on 7" and CD it finds the photogenic bearded goon on tip top blues tastic form. It makes me wanna drink me some moonshine and eat some straw. What a right ole jaunty stripped down blues thing of a thing this is.. It's all rather delicate and subdued but it's a great heartfelt tune which gets the hairs on my arm (the left one) standing up and barking to my sleeves. Well lush. What the label says: First came “Cursed Sleep,” now get ready to get “Cold & Wet,” the latest release in a series from Bonnie ‘Prince’ Billy, all centered around the awesome new album, THE LETTING GO. The cd and 7" formats come backed with a cover of a Kenny Rogers favorite from the 1980s, whilst the cd also features a live version of a MASTER AND EVERYONE favourite 'The Way' and the video for the single track.

About the humble CD single:

Another digital format and even though they can hold 80 minutes of information (like a CD album would) record companies only fill up a small portion of the disc. Sometimes only 1 or 2 tracks on there totalling 5 minutes or so. It's like going to a restaurant and getting a plate of food with 2 green beans on and wondering where the rest of your meal is. Sometimes they're lovingly packaged though and when the music is good then you're into a winner. Also you get videos on there sometimes which you can watch on your computer. That is excellent.
