STOPSTARTS have their second single out on Grace. 'Short Breaks' is more of that smooth, itchy compressed radio indie rock with post Futureheads/the Feeling kinda harmonies & a bit of a mid seventies FM vibe all mangled up with a clean cut new wave style production. There's lots of "oh-oh, oh oh-oh" style adlibs to disguise the fact they dropped the lyrics down a drain when looking for tab ends. Ltd 7"/CDs"Short Breaks" by Stopstarts is the next limited edition single to be released on Grace Records. Glasgow's stopstarts are effortlessly arty, poppy and infectious as demonstrated on debut single "My Watch Is Digital". "Short Breaks" is backed by a strong b-side in "Don't Speed, Louise". Their stripped back minimalist, mathematical and metronomic sound has been described as "clockwork pop...and more addictive than heroin" by `No, Really` fanzine. Stopstarts have been praised by the Daily Record for having the "knack of making catchy tunes", while Artrocker magazine calls them "a steal" loving stopstarts' "machine vocals". "Short Breaks" will be released on limited 7" vinyl and CD (500 each format only) and digital download.
