Nice of heroin face Docherty to round up al his deluded pals for a tribute to Joe Strummer. A cover of 'Janie Jones' that has absolutely NO vim, vigour or verve. All the energy is lost in this terrible mudge of compressed, muted modern day production. It sounds about as punk as yr mum. BABYSHAMBLES. Really,I'd rather staple gun my ears to a tree. 7"/CDs

About the humble CD single:

Another digital format and even though they can hold 80 minutes of information (like a CD album would) record companies only fill up a small portion of the disc. Sometimes only 1 or 2 tracks on there totalling 5 minutes or so. It's like going to a restaurant and getting a plate of food with 2 green beans on and wondering where the rest of your meal is. Sometimes they're lovingly packaged though and when the music is good then you're into a winner. Also you get videos on there sometimes which you can watch on your computer. That is excellent.
