THE LONG BLONDES are everyone's favourite Northern lasses. 'Once And Never Again' is all over the radio at the moment and is very classic sounding up beat rock n roll. Staying true to their roots there is a northern reference in 'The Whippet Fancier'. It really is all flat caps and whippets here you know. In fact Phil and I are both currently wearing our caps. If the Long Blondes were to show up we'd doft 'em. This like everything these days is on 2 7"s and CD single. One of the 7"s is on blue vinyl and has a different B-side and the CD single has a video. You can buy all 3 formats for a fiver.

About the humble CD single:

Another digital format and even though they can hold 80 minutes of information (like a CD album would) record companies only fill up a small portion of the disc. Sometimes only 1 or 2 tracks on there totalling 5 minutes or so. It's like going to a restaurant and getting a plate of food with 2 green beans on and wondering where the rest of your meal is. Sometimes they're lovingly packaged though and when the music is good then you're into a winner. Also you get videos on there sometimes which you can watch on your computer. That is excellent.
