Sweden's PETER, BJORN AND JOHN play uplifting pop songs, complete with a whistled refrain that'll stick in your head for days (believe me!) Their sound is as playful and flitty as it's well-crafted and intelligent. As befits an erstwhile librarian, a jazz drummer and an established record producer, the sound skips across folk, punk and skinny-assed funk with a Beta Band-ish randomness belying a tangible pop nous underneath.

Their live set sees them deliver urging and funky drums, maracas, crazy bongos, lo-fi bass, and a whistling melody that sounds like a mix of a wild - west b-movie and the schoolyard. Peculiar, catchy, Scando-Pop!

It's an irresistible slice of indiepop that somehow combines whistling, bongos and the lugubrious voice of the Concretes' Victoria Bergsman to produce something fit for both sunshine and gloom... The Guardian
