Next up is the new one from Jack White / Brendan Benson supergroup THE RACONTEURS. If I said this record was laced with a highly contagious lethal alien virus that will kill you and your entire family by turning you inside out and making you swell up and explode in a matter of seconds you'd still buy it, such is the devotion of you hardcore fans. Fortunately it contains nothing of the sort. What it does contain is their unique brand of bittersweet country / blues / 60's psychedelic garage rock. The 7" is actually a live version of the track 'Broken Boy Soldier' where as the CD has the original and a radio session version. The 7" has a recording of 'Blue Veins' from the same KCRW session and the CD features 'Yellow Sun' Which aint on the vinyl Oh there's another 7" as well with the original version of Broken Boy Soldier and a live recording of Headin' For The Border'. Totally confusing. Therefore if you don't buy both the formats and one format twice not only will your collection be incomplete but so will your life....Be the first to review this record.
