LUXEMBOURG have a single and album out this week on Dogbox Records. I've only had chance to play the single so far. What an odd thing...... The guy starts off sounding like Bryan Ferry.... I was so not expecting that. Musically it's somewhere between Suede, Pulp, Divine Comedy... ie it's got that theatrical pompy thing going for it. Again for what it is it's pretty good.... nothing new but if you're yearning for more of that sound this is extremely competent. There's a lot of rubbish indie around at the mo and this isn't part of that. Thank christ! It's called Sick of DIY which is what I am at the mo. I put some new pully cord light fittings up at the weekend cos we wanted new pulley cords (the old ones were minging) so I thought it would be easier to bang up a whole new fitting cos inside those things there's springs and evil (as I discovered). I found out yesterday that you can just unclip 'em near the top and swap the cords...... I spent hours struggling with wires 'n things....I fuckin' hate myself sometimes....Be the first to review this record. Best reviewer each month gets £10 off their next order!
