Library Tapes - Feelings For Something Lost

Feelings For Something Lost by Library Tapes

Another decent release this week courtesy of the Resonant label. This is from LIBRARY TAPES who are a swedish duo comprising of David Wenngen and Per Jardsell. The 'Feeling For Something' CD is comprised of heartwarming, gentle piano peices, static crackly glitchy sounds and melancholic melodies. Music with soul and emotion you can float and drift away to...On 'Lines running low through 7th (...the shame of it all...)' I imagine an old piano on fire with the crackles of the wooden casing burning, the instrument in flames while the keys are weeping their last tones as if the poor thing is dying. This really is very sad, emotive sounding stuff indeed. Will quite possibly appeal to fans of William Basinski or Hauschka. Top stuff.
