AMMUNITION and BLACKDOWN have compiled a nifty little compilation documenting the evolution of the Dubstep genre. 'The Roots Of Dubstep' is a 14 track CD that follows the sound from it's beginnings in the UK Garage scene through to the current darker more spiritual heavy dub sound. With some rare tracks and a few unreleased dub plates on here it's well worth a listen. With contributions from El-B, Roxy, Phuturistix, Horsepower Productions, Benny Ill vs DJ Hatcha, High Plains Drifter, Menta , artwork, Benga Vs Skrem , DJ Abstract and the Mighty Digital Mystiks. In a Ltd Digi-pak with a fold out map / family tree linking artists, labels and sub-genres which totally appeals to the geek in me. On Tempa.Be the first to review this record.
