Never really checked LUNA out properly bar their sumptuous cover of 'Bonnie & Clyde'. Never one for mature college rock me. Too much of a kid y'see. That's why I'd rather listen to Trumans Water or some messed up random barmy crap than the Mojo readers choice. They appear to have got that shiny, polished take on Velvet Underground sewn up, judging by their neato best of. 18 classics of neat & tidy, mature countrified alt rock for folk who probably like Wilco & REM. The girl (Britta Phillips) who's now in the band scares me with her beauty. Dean Wareham looks really chuffed to have her in his group of chartered accountants. A bit of glamour never hurt did it? Well, all you old fart Radio 2 types'll love this. The extra disc collects all their cover versions. God I thought the Wedding Present were mad. 35 tracks all in all. Invest.
