Now then 'Sapphire Eyes' is the latest SERENA MANESH single. I knew a girl once at school called Serena. Once I almost took her head off in science with a clamp stand. Anyway my teacher turned out to be the producer for The Super Furries, he spotted some Sonic Youth Graffiti on my exercise book and after that he was cool with me. Enough waffle Phil says that it sounds like a cross between Spacemen 3 and Lush. I saw the chick from Lush in real life once. Her hair was so bright it nearly burned out my retinas. 'Candlelighted' on the B-side is a cool little instrumental which is lot heavier with the relentless drum bashing, layers of feedback and tons of energy.
