Here's an interesting 500 limited project. Its a compilation album featuring 11 bands all covering Television Personalities songs, including BMX Bandits, Swell Maps, Two Angry Men, Semion and Nikki Sudden. Its called Someone To Share my Life With....The alternative tribute to the Television Personalities . My initial feel of the record is cheeky pop tunes by men who struggle to sing and play in tune. But this adds an innocence. It feels loved and the curator Mr Alistair Fitchett has obviously put his passion into this record. Its got a bit of everything as each band tries to find their own slant on their song. The differing production values also keep the record fresh with some songs with full orchestra studio moments and others like they are recorded pissed up at a party in the kitchen with one battered mic.
