Nice red/black vinyl 12" record of insane trash proportions from COACHWHIPS, a band that have been accused of making White Stripes sound like Spector. Hilarious. They actually do. Distorto psycho blues that'd blow Jon Spencer's quiff way out of line. This is a fine collection of stomping rarities & B-sides called 'Double Death' & comes with a free live DVD which I'm looking forward to watching. This ain't goddamn music for pussies. This is a cert for fans of stripped down raw as hell Rock 'n' Roll like Billy Childish. Primal as fuck.Dwyer (Coachwhips front fuck) said he's finally gonna do a Coachwhips album the way he always wanted to do a Coachwhips album and do this shit right. "Bangers Vs. Fuckers" is more blown out, raw and ass-shakin' than any prior Coachwhips release. And why not? With the god damn excitement surrounding Coachwhips the world's beggin' for that spontaneous, explosive Coachwhips experience. Coachwhips capture the excitement of their freak frenzy live show in the studio. The ever touring ever working Dwyer gives the world the bare naked terrain and dimensions of his sizzlin' mind. With the help of crazed-out living legend Weasel Walter (The Flying Luttenbachers, XBXRX) producing "Bangers VS Fuckers" (also just produced the re-release of Glen Branca's "The Ascension") this new batch of Coachwhips songs will stick to yr blouse, stick to yr tighty-whities, burrow it's way thru yr thighs and squirm its way into yr heart. Anyone with a libido will be satisfied with this ultimate party band.
John Dwyer is originally from Providence, RI (Black Dice, Lightning Bolt, Arab on Radar, Forcefield etc). In the mid-90's Dwyer moved to San Francisco and quickly became a leader of the SF underground with bands that reduce you to a primordial ooze of instinctual perfection. Most notable bands are the Death Metal band Dig That Body Up It's Alive and the tardcore, ferocity of rock duo, Pink and Brown. John Animal Dwyer's prolific nature landed him in his most widely inclusive band to date... the fucking COACHWHIPS!!!
