Take it Back by Madlib/ J Dilla/ Guilty Simpson

Got a tasty MADLIB / GUILTY SIMPSON 12" produced by the late J DILLA (R.I.P). 'Take It Back' has a bizzare quirky sound that sounds like that cheeky grey dog puppet Sweep. The beats are pretty solid and Madlib's flow is up to his usual high standards. There's some cop car noises in the mix too to keep it street. This cut shows us just why Detroit's J Dilla will be sorely missed within the Hip-Hop community. You get dirty, clean and instrumental versions. The B-side Guilty Simpson's 'Clap Your Hands' is dope, the production is wicked with the dark strings and throbbing bass stabs. The delivery again is outstanding. 'Nothing Like This' is another Dilla gem. This is the finest Hip-Hop 12" I've heard in a while and has me awaiting the 'Chrome Children' album with great anticipation. On Stones Throw.
