Bromheads Jacket - Golden Arches

Golden Arches by Bromheads Jacket

4...according to our on Wed 15 Nov, 2006.

Those Sheffield tykes BROMHEADS JACKET return with third scuzzpop anthem 'Trip to the Golden Arches' on Marquis Cha Cha & it's another hugely entertaining twin pronged beast, coupled with the excellent 'Pinch of Psalt'. There's summat about this 3 piece that sets them way apart from the other chancers desperately tugging on the Arctic Monkeys' coattails (Hiya Milburn & Little Man Tate) Like a cross between The Streets & t' Monkeys with a turbo punk dose of The Jam's early mod rebel spirit, the 2 songs reveal a savvy, street smart observational humour, dripping with energy & gusto, clocking in around the two & a half minute so they're over before you've had a chance to gasp a breath. Dunno how the quickfire cultural references will stand up over the years but compared to most of their compadres, Bromheads are racing far, far ahead in the pop game, taking their time with well gauged & infectious singles released entirely at their own leisure, building an exciting wave of anticipation for the forthcoming debut album. Huge fun. This is ltd  with a stencil to design yer own covers on both the 7" & CD single. SORRY BUT THIS IS STRICTLY 1 PER PERSON!!!!

Trip To The Golden Arches

A sorry tale of a simple car journey turning into a logistical nightmare, this track has long since been a live favourite..
As singer (and banana milkshake fan) Tim laments on his frustrated state-of-mind while sat in his stationary car, he is regularly joined on stage by fans to help him, and the others, blast out the vocals. The ensuing carnage mirrors the sentiments of the song and provides further evidence of the band’s growing popularity.

It will be available on limited seven inch and CD, complete with stencils whereby the proud owner essentially creates their own artwork for the sleeve.

   1. Trip To The Golden Arches
   2. Pinch Of Psalt
