Poor Phil doesn't understand much electronic music except the clever highbrow stuff cos he's not a beat loving party prat like me. Me I go for VOA's 'Head in Static EP, the most collapsing & drunken electro record I've had the pleasure in listening to for a long time. It's just knackered in the head. The title track is like a duracell bunny on crack & vodka, itching along like a huge pissed badger smashing into cars on it's infectious way to some blurred finishing line. It's followed by a burbling melodic acid odyssey coming atcha like Luke Vibert or the Analord stuff. Flip is excellent Kraftwekrian hypnotic electro on T1 before you get a break invader at the end, all metallic fighting with lazers through a drain flange mic.
