Kings Have Long Arms - I Rock Eye Pop

I Rock Eye Pop by Kings Have Long Arms

3...according to our on Wed 15 Nov, 2006.

I'm only reviewing KINGS HAVE LONG ARMS because they make our lass's little boy dance. I think their novelty caberet toytown electro pop has its charms but I'm far to much of a muso snob to take their daft schtik to heart (Hahaha!). It begins like a bontempi Beastie Boys with Tony Christie on vocals. They do provide some sublime moments of top pop fun, taking in crap ragga, casiotone video game gabba, seaside pier attraction electro (single 'Lisa Riley' is irresistible) but their cover of 'Feels like I'm in Love' is simply music for numpties. The kind of shit yr gran would get up & dance to after too many gins. Even Phil Oakey can't save it from twattish novelty hell but if you fancy a lighthearted giggle instead of some quality music then I suppose this is the album for you this week......CD only on Heart & Soul
