I was convinced they had split up? Well they've only gone and signed themselves to Cooking Vinyl (where bands go to die... it's like the musical equivalent of Florida as that's where old people go in droves to soak up yellow rays before they shrink into prunes and cark it.) The thing about The Bluetones is they always sound like The Bluetones. Singer Mark whatsit has such a distinctive voice that they always sound the same. Musically they haven't progressed that much but it's a decent enough tune. I don't really like 'em now but I've had an unnerving soft spot for them for years. I did like that first album you see.
