Calder is a musical project of Lrus Sigursson & lafur Josephsson (Stafrnn Hkon). When lafur heard Lruss 'Jarhrpuslmar' record, he was flattered with Lrus approach to ambient music. They begun to exchange each others music, and that was the beginning of the Calder project. They deceided to make an effort and create an totally improvised guitar music with completely thick wall of ambience guitar sound. The result was recorded on Lruss 4-track recorder in two days. This material was self-released through Stafrnn Hkons (lafur's) own recording label outfit 'Vogor Recordings' in Iceland as an edition of circa 50 copies some years before this release on Unlabel. Olafur has released 5 solo albums as 'Stafrnn Hkon': 'Eignast jeppa', ' standi rjpunnar', 'Skvettir edik ref', 'Prjnar hmmus', 'Ventill/ Poki' and Lrus Sigursson has released 3 solo albums: 'Encounters', 'And the Psalm Was Jarhrpuslmar (Earth Harp Psalms)', 'Ljssnia'.
