Rating: happy This record left our Phil feeling happy.

M. WARD is also someone who has evaded me. I think this is his 5th album now? For some reason I've always pretty much ignored most of his earlier stuff. Not intentionally like.... it just falls like that. We get so many things in each week there just isn't enough hours in the day. When someone invents the 45 minute album you can speed listen to in 5 minutes I'll be happy. That's the future you know. Balls to chips implanted in your head and the music being radio'd across. You'd feel like a psychoid basket case.... you'd be hearing music that no one else would. How weird would that be? I digress again! I've played Post War twice now and he seems like a talented dude. Decent songs, well written, well sung, interesting arrangements. There's an awful lot of Cass Mccombs in there with a dash of Wayne Coyne. It all sounds pretty timeless and I'm sure you'll still be listening to this in 20 years time over half the other chaff that's released these days.
