All those IDM spods who once thought the shapes trilogy on Skam was by BOLA can sit smugly now as the whole mystery is neatly tied up on one neat little compact disc. I struggle with Bola sometimes, their aquatic Vangelis-isms are a little too holiday lounge prog for me but often they're quite flooring & innovative too. This music is the stuff of electronic odysseys, an adventure in sound, a deep sea dive into the electronic belly of a whale. It's good music, pretty timeless too, for the atmospherics they endorse go all the way back to Jean Michel Jarre & the like whilst Black Dog & Boards of Canada are notable contemporary soul mates. I like this. It makes me desire a long cool drink, some sun & a hammock. Thanks Skam!Be the first to review this record. Best reviewer each month gets £10 off their next order!
