So in a big dramatic way yesterday we couldn't decide what to play.... It's like that sometimes.... you're overfaced with gargantuan amounts of music and sometimes it's nice to have the stereo off and sit there staring at the wall hoping something interesting will happen. It rarely does. So I decided to bang on the new NURSE WITH WOUND album called Rock N Roll Station on Beta Lactum Ring Records. Been a while 'n all since I played any of the Wound. I used to be a fan about 12-15 years ago but gave up a while back due to my nerves. This new album is pretty special. It was up for album of the week along with the Protest! CD and Erase Errata album but we decided to go for the less obvious option. Musically it's quite a lot like some of the Meat Beat Manifesto/ Jack Dangers stuff. It's quite minimal a lot of the time with a slighty dubby overtone... some nice miminal electronics and plenty of dark miserablist spoken vocals chucked in for good measure.
