Now you wouldn't think I'd be a big fan of CERYS MATTHEWS probably? Well I'm not really but I've been utterly charmed by her new album. Never Said Goodbye is chocca full of big poppy folk twinged tunes with a massive Dave Fridman style drum sounds. At times it's quite commercial and mainstream and at others it's quite adventurous with some interesting song structures and rhythms. Seed Song is the one for me cos it's cocking marvelous.
