What we say This record left our Brian feeling angry. Not noticed owt in on Output for a while. Probably because I'm blind to Trevor Jackson's beautiful funky people idealism. Or jealous of his shades. Or summat. This single by Kreeps would have me on the dancefloor if it didn't have this awful tin-pot pseudo echo funk guitar & annoying shitty flute weaving all the way through its fuzzied hipster grooves. In the same way the chief wants to throttle sax players, the flute should be the secret domain of only the sweetest timid indie bands or beardy folk types who have wardrobes bursting with Aaron sweaters (& pipes) 7" & 12".

About the humble 12":

The 12" is the big brother of records as it's an fatter version of the 7", with a vast scope for an array of remixes and B sides. They are slightly less portable their smaller inched brethren but they're by no means inferior. Often the grooves are spaced wider apart and thus sound much much better. You can fit ample tracks on and if worse comes to worse they make fine plates (should your crockery go awol). Yes, there's a hole but holes are easy to sort out. Once again they're available on many different colours and guises. The best thing about a 12" is the potential vastness of the artwork. Also playable on many speeds!!
