You indie fiends out there totally lapped up the last Larrikin Love single and I suspect that will also be the case with 'Downing Street Kindling'. Immediately The Smiths spring to mind, it's so Morrissey it's uncanny. Also a not totally smacked and cracked out of his skull Libertines era Pete Doherty. This chirpy bunch of cockney's do their thing well and although its not for me I can see the appeal. Available on 2 track CD single and 2 7"s one of which features a 'Refix' and a track featuring Lethal Bizzle who must be a right indie kid at heart, bless him.

About the humble CD single:

Another digital format and even though they can hold 80 minutes of information (like a CD album would) record companies only fill up a small portion of the disc. Sometimes only 1 or 2 tracks on there totalling 5 minutes or so. It's like going to a restaurant and getting a plate of food with 2 green beans on and wondering where the rest of your meal is. Sometimes they're lovingly packaged though and when the music is good then you're into a winner. Also you get videos on there sometimes which you can watch on your computer. That is excellent.
