Now I have the much talked about album by Nouvelle Vague called Bande a Part. Apparently they sold 200,000 copies of their last album which if they sold them for a pound each would have made £200,000 .. a lot of cash no!. Anyway the thing is they record famous punk and rock tunes and make them all loungy and delicate. They also bring in bossanova beats and breathy female vocals creating cheeky cover versions to make you guffaw over your nibbles whilst your having your middle age dinner party. (I am still cutting edge). It's getting vastly differing opinions in the towers and I'm being told they haven't used as recognizable songs as last time. Anyway I think it would raise a smile, and if your in a loving relationship (god bless you), curl up to this cosy album. I think it has its place... but the place in my house would be deep, black and smelling of chickpeas. Ltd edition CD to come next week all being well!Be the first to review this record.
