We listened to the new Plaid CD this morning and where somewhat disappointed, it having sounded almost like a diluted take on their sound. Fortunately it's part of a tasty CD and DVD double pack which contains some excellent visuals by Bob Jarroc who does the visuals for them when they perform live. A really interesting combination of film, animation and CGI that works fantastically well, suddenly the music makes sense. I suspect the music was composed to the visuals which is probably why this is not available on vinyl as the tracks don't really work that well on their own. You can tell its Plaid though with those trademark melodies. I want to take one of these home and mong out on the sofa to it eating big packs of Thai Sweet Chilli crisps. Fold out biodegradable packaging on Warp.
