Hello all. Here we are again happy as can be with another round up of what's hot and what's not. Clint in for the long haul. Walking into work this morning I was enlightened by the soothing strains of the new Broken Dog album wafting down the stairwell. It was enough to make me not even care that my flask of soup had split in my bag. I think Broken Dog are one of this countries most under-rated bands. Its really lovely music with lady vocals that are kind of dysfunctional in a way but very pretty at the same time. I think you could make comparisons to Movietone, Mazzy Star, Empress and maybe a very mellow Broadcast. There's a hint of Beach Boys in some of the melodies (tinkling piano's, churchy organs) which is always a nice thing to hear.Be the first to review this record.
