Colour Wheel by Growing

Mogwai's Rock Action label have released 'Color Wheel' by Kranky artists Growing and its dead psychedelic. This Digipak CD is bulging with drones and ambience that in places hint at melody but never quite get there. A lot of this style can tend be be a little dark and sometimes miserable but this is really quite cheerfull and with the sun shining has made even me crack a smile. I mean its not like the happy little elves in tinkly winkly land or anything but its really a pleasant listen. It sounds like it could almost be made on a computer in places then the guitar fuzz comes in and reminds you that this is actually a band. Color Wheel is the perfect title for this album and is my favourite thing I'm reviewing this week. Go check, super trippy.
