I've never heard any Ekkehard Ehlers before. Well I might have done but I can't remember.... so many records.... so many... there's just not enough hours in the day. Anyway here in my hand is the new album from Ekkehard called 'A Life Without Fear' on Staubgold on LP and CD. Initially I thought it would be more electronic as the 1st track is like a weird lo-fi blues thing. Then it kicks in as I thought it would with odd avant garde cut ups and sounds with a bluesy feel..... Lordy I'm confused. The whole album is a mix of blues and electronics spliced up and arsed around with by the man Ehlers. If that is indeed his real name.... God knows... I quite like it anyway but only cos I like that proper old delta blues sound which crops up here albeit with a modern twist...Be the first to review this record.
