Ellen Allien & Apparat Orchestra Of Bubbles is the one for me this week. Didn't manage to shoehorn it into anyone's pile as I wanted it all to my grubby self. Some portions are like what i'd imatgine trance'd be if there was abundant depth & imagination involved instead of gurning & glowsticks & Ferry bastard Corsten. A low down, atmosphere drenched journey of blinks, beeps, judders, morphing bass & occasional ethereal vocal interludes. There's plenty of scope on here including a track that sounds like a sexy, warm version of The Notwist! There's even loping electro breaks & sharp string punctuated dubstep tunes on here. A really classic & varied electronic odyssey These two are the darlings of the Berlin future techno set & this album will start to grab you by the wobbly bits (there, i'm being multi gender here!) by the second listen. All Apparat's hallmark drifting blis-scapes are evident throughout. I reckon he'll be feted as a genius in years to come. Him & Ellen should have babies. If they're not shagging, they bloody should be. Excellent. On CD with vinyl to followBe the first to review this record. Best reviewer each month gets £10 off their next order!
