I quite like Bearsuit. I don't own anything by 'em but they embrace the whole spirit of indie so much it's untrue. Actually it's very true come to think of it. Their new single is called Steven F***ing Spielberg....have they not seen The Goonies?? This is total indie with a disturbed edge and a whole shedload of flutes. It comes with a free Bearsuit fridge magnet as well, something which no home should be without. The best thing on Fantastic Plastic in some time. Classy!!

About the humble CD single:

Another digital format and even though they can hold 80 minutes of information (like a CD album would) record companies only fill up a small portion of the disc. Sometimes only 1 or 2 tracks on there totalling 5 minutes or so. It's like going to a restaurant and getting a plate of food with 2 green beans on and wondering where the rest of your meal is. Sometimes they're lovingly packaged though and when the music is good then you're into a winner. Also you get videos on there sometimes which you can watch on your computer. That is excellent.
