Tried to check this Scummy Man DVD out on our funky flap top but the wonders of modern technology hinderered me from deriving any sound out of the bugger so I can only say that it looks like a fairly sordid & unhappy tale of a 15 yr old prostitute & her most unpleasant client, the bearer of this grim slice of film's title. Based around a song by some young Sheffield unknowns that will probably get nowhere, this harrowing premise looks like it's been directed by Mike Leigh on a particularly rough day & includes some spiky, natural acting & a couple of other odds & sods like the promo for the song by the upcoming wannabes.
