This week finally sees the proper release of two new Planet Mu things that were kicking about as upfront copies a bit ago. The Breakage (James Boyle)12" harks back to the heady days of good old fashioned Drum 'n' Bass ala Photek. Before the snarl of Tech-Step emerged. The beat programming is however brought bang up to date and retains the funk without wandering off all over the place. Deep atmospherics and synth washes. Spine tingling stuff thats not too clever for its own good. He's been a busy bee as he's also remixed 'Acid Rain V.I.P' which appear on the Equinox release.Be the first to review this record.
