Casiotone for the Painfully Alone
Etiquette
A Norman Records recommendation (26th November 2006)

This record left our Brian feeling ecstatic.
Yeah, that's the problem with singles coming out before albums. The single impresses you, you have a rant then feel a berk a week later when you wanna cry with joy at these amazing songs that are spilling out yr stereo (the album has landed) but you've already bored all yer readers to death with a slew of namedropping days previous. Well, fupp the lock of yars. I've snashed me teef in just so I can mention Grandaddy, The Field Mice, The Magnetic Fields & Smog ALL OVER AGAIN in reference to Casiotone For The Painfully Alone's new album. It's just tragic that this bloke feels so melancholy as he just writes the greatest, warmest, perfect pop I could ever want to listen to. If I could pen songs this good I'd be grinning like a loon 24/7, believe me! Tomlab have a treasure on their hands here. You should check out some of his earlier gear too. It's all just too fine for words
