What we say
This record left our Phil feeling ecstatic.
Last week Monotreme sent me a copy of Shrill Falcons by RAL PARTHA
VOGELBACHER. It's not a new album... in fact it came out about 6-8 months ago or
something. I never heard it anyway... but now I have. Wow! This is like one of
the best albums I've not heard in ages! After the first listen I was utterly
hooked. The music is written by Thee More Shallows (or a guy from...) and you
can really tell. At times you'd be hard pushed to think it wasn't a Thee More
Shallows record.... But there are some noisier moments on there as well as
pure alternative pop. It also features Odd Nosdam on drums well. (I can hear the
cries of amazement from here...) For fans of Grandaddy, Thee More Shallows and
that kind of sensitive yes intelligent music. Absolutely brilliant and had it
not been months old it would get album of the week.
