Remember German experimental electronic label Mille Plateaux? Well since they closed their doors in 2003 they have re-emerged with new imprint Supralinear. 'Shapes To Phases' by Alka_Rex is an album of quirky clicks and pops which reminds me of some early Cristian Vogel stuff. There is also a definite dubby feel to the work which is reminiscent of Basic Channel offshoot, Maurizo's M series. Its quite minimal and if you dig artists like Pole, Twerk and that kind of deep dubbed out electronica / techno stuff then you'll like this I reckon.Be the first to review this record.
