Dustins Bar Mitzvah. A tribute to the Jewish screen god that is Mr. Hoffman p'haps? I never heard their last effort, 'Jimmy White', as a song about the merits of a pasty faced snooker playing Londoner with the worst hair in sport never quite appealed. Now we have 'To The Ramones'. The intro is spirited enough but JESUS! Must we suffer the most hopeful vocals in the world yet again. It's like a retard trying to emulate Pete Shelley with a painfully predictable indie-punk grumble underpinning the whole shebang. The rock version of one of those horrid hospital coloured disabled cars you used to see in the seventies (If someone can find me an image of one of those for Ant then I'll love you forever!)

'To The Ramones' finds Dustin's Bar Mitzvah launching a supersonic take on classic '77 punk. The single finds Acton's finest capturing the fiery intensity of their famed live show. Formed in 2003, Dustin's Bar Mitzvah won Zane Lowe's 'Fresh Meat' competition on Radio 1 and was then playlisted on XFM where they also recorded a session for John Kennedy. Further Radio 1 airplay followed with Steve Lamacq, Alan McGee and Rob Da Bank all backing the DBM cause. Having built their reputation with ferocious gigs across London's most renowned club nights (Death Disco, The Queen Is Dead, Club NME), the band are set to add their ever-growing list of converts with regular gigs in the coming weeks.
