The second split is lead by former SPC stars Champion Kickboxer with their stripped down, simple yet complex & quite magical take on indie. In a dreamy realm of their own, with the fragile vocal harmonies brought to the fore, striking out as much of an instrument as the guitars, drums, keys & bass. A rare treat to hear this enigmatic & precious Sheffield crew! The Interiors give us simple garage inflected pop with dueling male/female vocals giving the whle thing a sci-fi party twist. charming. The other SPC band on here are Chuck who rule. Grumbling agit rock & old skool isolationist indie rock collide to give us a more melodic Sheffield McLusky.
