The Libertines
Up The Bracket

This record left our Clint feeling happy.
Looking at photo's of the Libertines you really wish they'd spruce themselves up a bit. Get some smart clothes like those nice Interpol boys. I really didn't expect to like this after all the NME hype but I like it way more than anything else they've gone on about recently. Its jaunty guitar pop with severe nods in the direction of the Strokes but also reminds us of The Housemartins and The Jam. Its very poppy at times and some of the songs have melodies that you might hum on the bus the next day. Its also quite funny in a wierd kind of way. Up The Bracket made me laugh out loud once or twice.
