Double Adaptor - Live at The Village Vanguard

Live at The Village Vanguard by Double Adaptor

Sometimes I need a kick in the head, audio-terror style to make me realise that music is still really important & not just an abused channel for some dicks to macho posture all over the shop in sleeveless suede jerkins & cryptic tattoos. This CD by Double Adaptor (On Osaka) is bonkers IDM stretched beyond certain limitations, such as melody & tune. Haha! Only kidding. The 9 "cuts" here seem to be formed from some very curious ingredients such as splattercore skank, digital splinter cretins, projectile vomiting BPM's, languid jazz sax (like Four Tet on PCP), Clangers glitch rave from the dark side of the moomins & some of the craziest rhythms racing each other down a steep hill in wheelie bins full of nuts & bolts alongside chunks of chaotically wired circuit board apparently connected to mars. Phew! Genuinely absorbing & otherworldly so if you dig yer electronica a little eccentric then this is for you!
